Avrellos, God of the Dragons, The Sky Tyrant

It is a widely known and accepted fact that Avrellos used to be evil, down to his very soul, and it was at this time that he was known as The Sky Tyrant. Near the end of the Age of the Citadel he managed to get his claws on Elemental Fury, which he then used to murder Io, the progenitor of all dragons and god of wisdom. Unfortunately for Avrellos, the act of slaying the god of wisdom imbued him with part of the god’s soul and morality.

Avrellos calmed down considerably at that point, settling in to the role he serves today as the god of the dragons. Much of his popularity can be attributed to his policy of treating half-dragons fairly and honorably.

Avrellos appears as a particularly massive hellfire wyrm, and is the only known specimen of the species.

Followers of Avrellos tend to be dragons or half-dragons. They value reason, wisdom, and intelligence more than sheer combat prowess. Avrellos himself is well-learned and well-spoken, his followers seek to emulate that aspect of his personality.
