Luon's Journal - Session 51

Temple cleanout, day 1. The first room of the temple was a large one with a huge statue of a lizardfolk in the middle. Along the side walls were mirrors. The floor was coated in the ash, which I determined to be living flesh at one time. An obvious trap, but our attempts to trigger it from outside were unsuccessful. We were even able to walk around the room unmolested. It wasn’t until the door on the opposite side of the room was touched that the trap was triggered. The statue started moving, and attacked. Thanks to a decent amount of preparation, the fire the statue used was not harmful to Krellum, Sirathen and myself. Once we had done some decent damage to the statue, two small creatures came out from the feet of the statue. Not sure what they were, but they reflected any harm done to them back to anyone nearby.

Thanks to Thoragen coming in blind to the fight, his attack on the creatures downed Krellum. Krellum was not happy about that because when Thragen revived Krellum, he shot some sort of altered fire ray at the remaining creature. The ray burned a hole straight through it and even bored into the wall. Krellum’s new abilities are starting to worry me even more.

The rest of the day was just more traps, with the last one getting us entombed in a chamber by a large boulder.
