Luon's Journal - Session 66-67

So the temple turned out to be the crypt holding an ancient lizardfolk vampire. It was specifically built to contain him. I don’t know how we manage to keep doing it, but we keep accidentally destroying the guardians of powerfully bad things. I tried to get these guys to leave, but once Krellum found out that the temple held Rak’Noth, Winged Enemy of the Light, he decided that we must destroy it. It took nearly everything we had, but we finally managed to do it. I can’t yell at Thoragen any longer about what he did under the influence of the aboleth, because I had the same issue with the vampire.

The temple also held a dragon made of obsidian and bone that breathed light and obsidian shards. It appears to have been created in order to combat Rak’Noth should he get loose, but now that we’ve destroyed the vampire, the beast has now been released from his bonds and is roaming the countryside. I hope that doesn’t come back to bite us in the ass…

Tomorrow it’s on to the next mountain and the next temple.
