Rise of the Durnskald
Most of the known world is restricted to an expanse of territory located near the south west corner of the continent of Galavan, located on the world known as Ahn-Azzex. Historical maps show that that the territories of Galavan were once split amongst several different countries, contact with these countries was lost in the beginning of the Age of Attrition as continent-wide devastation rapidly lowered civilian populations.
As things stand now Pergisursia is seen as the social, cultural, and economic hub of Galavan. To the south east The Elemental Empire is allied with Pergisursia as they share a common ancestry. If one crosses the Sea of Storms located off the western coast of Pergisursia one would find themselves entering The Tempest, at the heart of which can be found The Alabaster Isle. If one then travels by airship to the north west they would find themselves approaching the floating continent of Crinoa.
Traveling beyond the eastern border of Pergisursia (The Barrier of Souls) is not recommended for anyone without a military escort, for what lies beyond is unpredictable and dangerous. It is theorized that if one managed to travel all the way to the eastern coast of Galavan it would be possible to travel by sea due east, to an area known only as The Darklands. This would require constructing a boat upon reaching the eastern shore (or carrying one with you, impossible without the use of magic), this theory has yet to be proven.
