Campaign of the Month: February 2016
Rise of the Durnskald
The Journal of Sorathin (The Green Knight) Session 55
After another long and boring week of travel, we’ve returned to the Elemental Kingdom. I was able to deliver the large stone head to the ARC and I was compensated for it too, a welcome surprise. I thought this might be a setpiece for them, so I suppose we’ve all won something in that regard. As of late, my nightmares have haunted me more clearly, even while I rest awake. This man with silver gray hair, locks swords with me, and after some period of combat I am cut down, ending the malefic visions. My head is usually sore after these, so it’s never pleasant. Perhaps there is nothing I can do about the visions; After all, each time I try to rest my sword and punch the figure my body won’t respond.
The others work on their side projects while I practice my art. Honing my speed, I believe I’ve made a breakthrough and can launch an attack, retreating afterwards from my foe. I’m not well built like Luon or Krellem, so I believe that this fighting style should be my own. Thoragen spent a day making a very fine shirt for me. No matter how hard I train, it never seems to tear or become terribly dirty. A fine piece of craftsmanship I guess. Krellem and Salin each take their turn visiting the King, whom I’m told is not to be called Snowball. I imagine a snowball would have a hard time in a warm tower like that, so maybe it’s considered an insult? Hm, perhaps it’s best not to discuss it further with Salin. In the end, I believe I have the best relationship with her in the party, although I’m not sure why. The others seem to find her difficult, but to me, she just seems stubborn. Maybe in time she’ll open up to the others, but for now we must continue to train so that we can impart teachings upon those of Pergisursia.
