Rise of the Durnskald
The Journal of Sorathin (The Green Knight) Session 60
Perhaps it was a bad thing that we held Whisper captive. One by one, we were somehow moved to the Shadow Realm after some effect had reached us. I was paying attention to Whisper, but I could not detect any sign of activity while watching her. Krellem and I were the first to visit, followed by Thoragen and Salin. Krellem had begun a spell that he claims would take us back home, but we were welcomed by a group of durnskald with swords that looked like Sin Rothos. I politely asked them to stay away for a while, but they kept coming forward. So, we fought.
These guys hurt. Their slashes tore me open, and each one of them could swing as fast as I could punch or kick. Eventually though, we were joined by a tall creature that looked like cinder, and more of the enemy reinforcements. The cinder looking creature stared at Krellem, in between attacking some of these Sin Rothos-looking warriors. One by one, our group was losing to these enemy forces, which seemed endless. I too was pummeled into the ground eventually, and it seemed like all hope was lost. Suddenly, Krellem returned to the battle, as an inferno and durnskald were incinerated if they got too close. Hopefully, someday he’ll teach me how he did it. The cinder looking creature transformed into a small girl, who spent her time casting spells though, so we would soon be overrun anyway. Suddenly, Whisper appears and our group, along with the ground we stood on, was whisked back to our realm.
Krellem claims the land around us was now corrupted, and he couldn’t keep the corruption at bay without performing the ritual many times. He sent a request somehow to gain aid in the form of powdered silver, a component to complete the ritual as I recall. Unfortunately, we now had to wait again.
