Campaign of the Month: February 2016
Rise of the Durnskald
The Journal of Sorathin (The Green Knight) Session 61
It took quite a while, but Krellem and Lu finally finished cleaning up the corruption in the area. He said he’s going to keep working on the swords too as we travel, so that we’re not stalled any longer. I think the break was good for some of us though – after what occurred in the realm of shadow it seemed as though some of us were stressed a bit. I was downed in that fight as well… I have to train harder if I’m to win against this enemy. You can’t help but wonder though what’s happening to Whisper, perhaps she is just another creature used and disposed of by her comrades? Maybe she’s not the high priestess that Lu says she is after all.
Finally we continue our journey into the Swamplurk. Seems like a normal place to me. At one point, we found sand that eats things, pulling it below the earth. Thoragen asked if I could breathe the sand, so I tested it when suddenly something grabbed my head and pulled me beneath the sand. Whatever it was clearly lacked discipline, after a single punch it let me go. At least I learned that I can breathe sand – Thoragen and the rest of the group were upset that I tested it. It would appear that sometimes I must avoid the scientific process that Lu has mentioned before in scenarios where it may cause problems for myself or others. I’m not sure I’ll ever understand all these rules, but I think I’ve made considerable progress since my first time on the airship. I still can’t help but wonder if my home is in the Realm of Shadow now. Everytime I visit, a sense of familiarity enters my mind, especially when entering from Pergisursia. Perhaps I can understand my past more by travelling on ARC duties… it’s been quite a journey so far, and it only seems to get more intense as I go.
